Cumulative Selection (Natural Selection) You can be partly correct here. Ie, having part of an eye (light perception) is better than having no eye at all. On each iteration, there is the possibility of improving on a previous state. Desireable traits are heritable (carried forward from one iteration to the next) If you watch long enough (or change the desired text above to a smaller sample) you can observe evolution in action. |
